Psalm 94

1Yahweh, God of vengeances, God of vengeances, shine forth!

2Arise, judge of the earth; repay the proud their recompense.

3How long, Yahweh, will the wicked exult? How long will the wicked exult?

4They pour out and speak arrogant things; all the doers of evil boast.

5They crush your people, Yahweh, and oppress your inheritance.

6They kill the widow and the sojourner, and slay the orphans.

7They say, "Yah will not see, nor will the God of Jacob understand."

8Understand, you brutish ones among the people, you fools, when will you be wise?

9Doesn't the one who planted the ear hear? Doesn't the one who fashioned the eye see?

10He who disciplines nations, will he not rebuke? He who teaches mankind knowledge, will he not know?

11Yahweh knows humankind's thoughts, that they are vanity.

12Blessed is the man whom you discipline, Yah, and teach from your law.

13to grant him rest from days of evil, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

14For Yahweh will not cast off his people, nor forsake his inheritance.

15For judgment will return to righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow after it.

16Who will rise for me against wrongdoers? Who will take his stand for me against doers of evil?

17Unless Yahweh had been my help, my soul would have almost dwelt in silence.

18When I said, "My foot slipped," your steadfast love, Yahweh, supported me.

19In the abundance of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.

20Will the throne of calamity ally with you, which shapes trouble by law?

21They band together against the life of the righteous and condemn innocent blood.

22Yahweh has become my high tower, and my God the rock of my refuge.

23He brought their iniquity back upon them, and in their wickedness he will destroy them; Yahweh our God will destroy them.
