Lumin Translation
Psalm 2
Why do the nations rage and the peoples devise futility?
The kings of the earth station themselves, and the rulers consult together against Yahweh and against his Messiah.
Let us break their bonds and hurl their cords from us.
The one sitting in the heavens laughs; the Lord mocks them.
Then he will address them in his anger and terrify them in his fury.
Yet I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.
I will proclaim Yahweh's decree: he said to me, "You are my son; today I have begotten you."
Ask me, and I will give the nations as your inheritance, the ends of the earth as your possession.
You will shatter them with an iron rod; you will smash them like a potter's jar.
Now then, kings, gain understanding; be disciplined, judges of the earth.
Serve Yahweh with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the son, lest he grow angry and you perish along the way, for his wrath blazes in an instant. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
