Lumin Translation

Psalm 104

Bless Yahweh, my soul. Yahweh my God, you are exceedingly great; splendor and majesty you have put on.

You clothe yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a curtain.

He lays the beams of his upper chambers in the waters. He sets the clouds as his chariot. He walks upon the wings of the wind.

He makes his angels winds, his ministers flaming fire.

He founded the earth upon its foundations, lest it be shaken forever and ever.

You clothed it with the deep like clothing; the waters stood above the mountains.

They fled at your rebuke; they hastened at the voice of your thunder.

The mountains rose, the valleys sank to the place you had founded for them.

You set a boundary lest they pass over, lest they return to cover the earth.

He sends springs into the valleys; between the mountains they flow.

They water every beast of the field; wild donkeys quench their thirst.

Birds of the heavens dwell beside them; among the branches they give voice.

He waters the mountains from his upper chambers; the earth is filled with the fruit of your works.

He causes grass to grow for the livestock, and herb for man's service, to bring forth food from the earth.

And wine gladdens man's heart, oil brightens his face, and bread sustains man's heart.

Yahweh's trees are filled, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.

where the birds make their nests there; the stork has her house in the fir trees.

The lofty hills are for the wild goats; the rocks a refuge for the rock badgers.

He made the moon for seasons; the sun knows its setting.

You appoint darkness, and it becomes night, when all the beasts of the forest creep.

The young lions roar for prey and seek their food from God.

The sun rises, and they gather to their dens and lie down.

Man goes out to his work and his labor until evening.

How abundant are your works, Yahweh! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your possessions.

Here is the sea, vast and spacious, where innumerable creeping things abound, living creatures both small and great.

There go ships, Leviathan—this one you formed to play in it.

All of them look to you to give them their food in its time.

You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are filled with good.

You hide your face—they panic; you withdraw their breath—they perish and return to their dust.

You send forth your Spirit—they are created—and you renew the face of the ground.

May the glory of Yahweh endure forever; may Yahweh rejoice in his works.

He beholds the earth, and it trembles; he touches the mountains, and they smoke.

I will sing to Yahweh while I live; I will sing praise to my God as long as I exist.

May my meditation be pleasing to him; I will rejoice in Yahweh.

Let sinners vanish from the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless Yahweh, O my soul. Praise Yah!
