Psalm 85

1Yahweh, you have looked with favor on your land; you have restored the captivity of Jacob.

2You have borne your people's iniquity. You have covered all their sins. Selah.

3You have removed all your wrath. You have turned from the fury of your anger.

4Restore us, God of our salvation, and put an end to your anger against us.

5Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger generation after generation?

6Won't you return to revive us, so your people may rejoice in you?

7Show us your favor, Yahweh, and give us your salvation.

8I will hear what God Yahweh will speak, for he will speak peace to his people and his faithful ones; let them not return to folly.

9Surely his salvation is near for those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.

10Lovingkindness and faithfulness meet; righteousness and peace kiss.

11Truth springs from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven.

12Indeed, Yahweh will give what is good, and our land will yield its produce.

13Righteousness will go before him and prepare the path for his steps.
