Lumin Translation

Psalm 137

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat; yes, we wept when we remembered Zion.

We hung our harps on the willows in its midst.

For there our captors asked us for songs, and our tormentors for joy: "Sing us one of Zion's songs!"

How shall we sing Yahweh's song on foreign soil?

If I forget you, Jerusalem, may my right hand forget.

Let my tongue cling to my palate if I do not remember you; if I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy.

Remember, Yahweh, the sons of Edom on the day of Jerusalem, who said, "Raze it, raze it, to its foundation!"

Daughter of Babylon, you who will be destroyed, blessed is he who repays you your recompense, as you have dealt with us.

Blessed is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rock.
