Psalm 11

1In Yahweh I trust. How do you say to my soul, "Flee! Flee, bird, to your mountain!"

2For look, the wicked bend their bows, preparing their arrows on the strings to shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.

3If the foundations are demolished, what can the righteous accomplish?

4Yahweh is in his holy temple. His throne stands in the heavens. His eyes behold; his eyelids examine the sons of men.

5Yahweh examines the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the lover of violence.

6He will rain snares upon the wicked—fire, brimstone, and scorching blasts—the portion of their cup.

7For Yahweh the righteous loves righteousness; the upright will behold his face.
