Psalm 123

1I lift up my eyes to you, the one who dwells in the heavens.

2Behold, like the eyes of servants to the hand of their masters, like the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes to Yahweh our God until he shows us mercy.

3Be gracious to us, Yahweh, be gracious to us, for we are filled with much contempt.

4Our soul is filled to overflowing with the derision of the carefree, with the contempt of the proud.
