Psalm 84

1How beloved are your dwelling places, Yahweh of hosts!

2My soul yearns and even languishes for the courts of Yahweh; my heart and my flesh shout for joy to the living God.

3Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she lays her young by your altars, Yahweh of hosts, my King and my God.

4Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they praise you evermore. Selah.

5Blessed are people whose strength is in you, in whose hearts are highways.

6Those passing through the valley of Baca make it a spring; even the rain covers it with blessings.

7They go from strength to strength; each appears before God in Zion.

8Yahweh, God of hosts, hear my prayer. Give ear, God of Jacob. Selah.

9Look, God our shield, and behold the face of your anointed.

10For a day in your courts is better than a thousand; I have chosen to be a doorkeeper in the house of my God rather than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11For Yahweh God is sun and shield; he grants grace and glory, withholding no good from those who walk uprightly.

12Yahweh of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in you.
