Psalm 76

1God is known in Judah. His name is great in Israel.

2His pavilion is in Salem, his habitation in Zion.

3There he broke the fiery arrows of the bow, shield, sword, and war. Selah.

4You are more glorious and majestic than mountains of prey.

5The valiant of heart were plundered; they slept their sleep, and none of the men of might found their hands.

6At your rebuke, God of Jacob, chariot and horse slept.

7You yourself are fearsome. Who can stand before you from the time of your anger?

8From heaven you made judgment heard; the earth feared and grew quiet.

9When God arose to judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. Selah.

10Surely human wrath praises you; you restrain the remnant of wrath.

11Vow and fulfill to Yahweh your God; let all who surround him bring tribute to the fearsome one.

12He restrains the spirit of princes; the kings of the earth fear him.
