Psalm 14

1The fool has declared in his heart, "There is no God." They have corrupted; they have become detestable in their deeds. There is none who does good.

2Yahweh looked down from heaven on the sons of men to see if any was wise, if any sought God.

3All have turned aside together and become vile; there is no one who does good, not even one.

4Don't all evildoers know, who devour my people as they eat bread and do not call on Yahweh?

5There they were in great terror, for God is in the generation of the righteous.

6You shame the counsel of the afflicted because Yahweh is his refuge.

7Oh that Israel’s salvation would come from Zion! When Yahweh restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will rejoice and Israel will be glad.
