Lumin Translation

Psalm 144

Blessed be Yahweh my rock, who trains my hands for battle and my fingers for war.

My steadfast love and fortress, my high tower and deliverer, my shield in whom I trust, who subdues my people beneath me.

Yahweh, what is man that you know him, or the son of man that you consider him?

Man is like vanity; his days are like a passing shadow.

Yahweh, bend your heavens and descend; touch the mountains, and they will smoke.

Hurl lightning and shatter them; send your arrows and crush them.

Send your hands from above; rescue me and deliver me from great waters, from the hand of foreigners.

whose mouths speak lies, and their right hand is a right hand of deceit.

O God, I will sing a new song to you; on a ten-stringed psaltery I will sing praises to you.

He who grants deliverance to kings, who rescues David, his servant, from the harmful sword.

Free me and deliver me from the hand of foreign sons whose mouths speak lies, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

That our sons are like plants grown tall in their youth, our daughters like hewn corners to a palace's likeness.

Our garners full, yielding every kind of store; our flocks bearing thousands, multiplying in our fields.

Our captains bear burdens, with no breach, no going out, and no cry in our streets.

Happy are the people for whom it is so. Happy are the people whose God is Yahweh.
