Psalm 29

1Ascribe to Yahweh, sons of the mighty, ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.

2Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of his name; bow down to Yahweh in the splendor of holiness.

3The voice of Yahweh is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders; Yahweh upon many waters.

4Yahweh's voice is mighty; Yahweh's voice is majestic.

5The voice of Yahweh breaks the cedars; Yahweh breaks the cedars of Lebanon.

6He causes them to leap like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.

7The voice of Yahweh cleaves the flames of fire.

8Yahweh's voice shakes the wilderness; Yahweh shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

9The voice of Yahweh makes the hinds calve and strips the forests bare; in his temple everything declares, "Glory!"

10Yahweh sat over the flood, and Yahweh sits as king forever.

11Yahweh gives strength to his people; Yahweh blesses his people with peace.
