Psalm 115

1Not to us, Yahweh—not to us—but give glory to your name for your steadfast love, for your faithfulness.

2Why do the nations say, "Where is their God now?"

3But our God is in the heavens; he has done all that he desires.

4Their idols are silver and gold, crafted by the hands of men.

5They have mouths but do not speak, eyes but do not see.

6They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell.

7They do not touch with their hands, walk with their feet, or speak through their throats.

8Those who make them will be like them, everyone who trusts in them.

9Israel, trust in Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.

10House of Aaron, trust in Yahweh—he is their help and their shield.

11You who fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.

12Yahweh remembers us. He will bless us; bless the house of Israel; bless the house of Aaron.

13He will bless those who fear Yahweh, the small with the great.

14Yahweh will increase you more and more, you and your children.

15You are blessed by Yahweh, maker of heaven and earth.

16The heavens are Yahweh's heavens, but he has given the earth to the sons of men.

17The dead do not praise Yah, nor do all who go down to silence.

18But we will bless Yahweh from now on and forever. Praise Yahweh!
