Psalm 80

1Shepherd of Israel, give ear, you who lead Joseph like a flock, you who dwell upon the cherubim; shine forth.

2Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh rouse your might, and come to deliver us.

3God, restore us and make your face shine, and we will be saved.

4Yahweh, God of hosts, how long will you be angry with your people's prayer?

5You have made them eat bread of tears, and caused them to drink tears threefold.

6You make us a point of contention to our neighbors, and our enemies mock among themselves.

7God of hosts, restore us and shine your face, and we will be saved.

8You brought a vine from Egypt, drove out the nations, and planted it.

9You cleared a place before it, and it took deep root and filled the land.

10The mountains were covered with its shade, and its branches were like the cedars of God.

11It sent out its branches to the sea, and its shoots to the river.

12Why have you broken down its walls, so that all who pass along the path pluck it?

13The boar wastes it, and the wild beast of the field feeds on it.

14God of Hosts, please return; look down from heaven, see, and visit this vine.

15the vineyard that your right hand planted, and the branch you strengthened for yourself.

16Burned with fire and cut down, they perish at the rebuke of your face.

17Let your hand be on the man at your right hand, on the son of man whom you have strengthened for yourself.

18So we will not turn back from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.

19Yahweh God of Hosts, restore us; make your face shine, and we will be saved.
