Lumin Translation

Psalm 37

Do not grow angry over wrongdoers, nor envy those who practice injustice.

For like grass they will quickly be cut down, and like the green herb they will wither.

Trust in Yahweh and do good; dwell in the land and feed on faithfulness.

Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Entrust your way to Yahweh; rely on him, and he will carry it out.

He will make your righteousness appear like light, and your justice like noonday.

Be still before Yahweh and long for him; do not burn with anger over one succeeding in his way, over the man who carries out schemes.

Let anger subside and abandon wrath; do not grow incensed, for it only leads to evildoing.

For wrongdoers will be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh—they shall inherit the land.

Yet a little longer, and the ungodly is no more. You will scrutinize his position, and he is not.

The humble will inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace.

The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him.

The Lord laughs at him, for he sees that his day is coming.

The wicked have unsheathed the sword and bent their bow to bring down the afflicted and needy, to slaughter the upright of the way.

Their sword will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will break.

Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many wicked.

For the arms of the wicked will be broken, while Yahweh upholds the righteous.

Yahweh knows the days of the blameless, and their inheritance will endure forever.

They will not be put to shame in a time of evil, and in days of famine they will be full.

For the wicked will perish, and the enemies of Yahweh will be like the glory of lambs—they vanish, vanish like smoke.

The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous are gracious and give.

For his blessed ones will inherit the land, and his cursed ones will be cut off.

Yahweh establishes a man's steps, and he delights in his way.

Though he falls, he will not be cast away, for Yahweh supports his hand.

I was young and have grown old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging bread.

He is gracious every day and lends; his seed is blessed.

Turn from evil and do good; dwell forever.

For Yahweh loves justice and does not forsake his faithful ones forever; they are kept safe, but the seed of the wicked is cut off.

The righteous will inherit the land and dwell upon it forever.

The mouth of the righteous meditates wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.

The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.

The wicked keeps watch on the righteous and seeks to kill him.

Yahweh will not abandon him to his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

Hope in Yahweh and keep his way, and he will exalt you to possess the land; when the wicked are cut off, you will see.

I have seen the wicked oppressor spreading out like a flourishing native tree.

He passed away, and look, he was no more. I sought him, but he could not be found.

Watch the blameless man, and observe the upright, for the future belongs to the man of peace.

Rebels shall be destroyed all together; the wicked's end shall be cut off.

The salvation of the righteous from Yahweh is their stronghold in time of trouble.

Yahweh helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.
