Lumin Translation
Psalm 90
Lord, you have been our dwelling place generation after generation.
Before the mountains were born and you gave birth to the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.
You turn mortals back to dust, saying, "Return, sons of men."
For a thousand years in your sight are like yesterday when it passes, and like a watch in the night.
You sweep them away while they sleep; in the morning they are like grass that sprouts.
In the morning it blossoms and passes away; by evening it is cut down and withers.
For we are consumed by your anger and terrified by your wrath.
You have arrayed our iniquities before you, our hidden sins in the light of your face.
For all our days decline in your wrath; we finish our years like a sigh.
Seventy years, or even eighty years by strength, are the days of our years; their strength is toil and affliction, for it is cut off quickly, and we fly away.
Who knows the might of your anger, your wrath according to your fear?
Teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Return, Yahweh! How long? Have compassion on your servants!
Fill us in the morning with your kindness, that we may shout for joy and be glad all our days.
Make us glad in proportion to the days you have afflicted us and the years we have seen evil.
Let your work appear to your servants, and your majesty upon their children.
Let the favor of our Lord God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands.
