Psalm 8

1Yahweh our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth, who have set your glory above the heavens!

2From the mouths of babes and nurslings you have founded strength because of your adversaries, to silence the enemy and the avenger.

3When I behold your heavens, the works of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you established.

4What is mortal man, that you remember him? and the son of man, that you have regard for him?

5You have made him but a little less than God, crowning him with glory and majesty.

6You have made him rule over the works of your hands; you have put everything under his feet.

7All sheep and oxen, even the beasts of the field.

8the birds of the heavens, the fish of the sea, and all that crosses the paths of the seas.

9Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic your name is throughout the earth!
