Psalm 47

1All nations, clap your hands; shout to God with a voice of jubilation!

2For Yahweh Most High is fearsome, a great King over all the earth.

3He subdues peoples beneath us, nations under our feet.

4He chooses our inheritance for us, the majesty of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

5God ascends with shouting, Yahweh with the trumpet blast.

6Sing praise to God, sing praise; sing praise to our King, sing praise.

7For God is King of all the earth; sing praises with understanding.

8God is king over the nations; God dwells upon the throne of his holiness.

9The nobles of the peoples have assembled, the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth are God's; He is exceedingly exalted.
