Lumin Translation

Psalm 7

Yahweh my God, in you I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and deliver me.

lest he tear my soul like a lion tearing it apart, with no one to deliver.

Yahweh my God, if I have done this—if iniquity is in my hands—

if I have repaid my peaceful friend with evil, or delivered my adversary without cause.

Let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it; let him trample my life to the ground and lay my glory in the dust. Selah.

Arise, Yahweh, in your anger; lift yourself up against the fury of my adversaries; awake for me to the judgment you have commanded.

Let the assembly of peoples surround you, and return over it on high.

Yahweh judges the peoples. Judge me, Yahweh, according to my righteousness and according to my integrity in me.

Oh, let the evil of the wicked cease, and uphold the righteous—you who test hearts and minds, righteous God.

My shield is with God, savior of the upright in heart.

God is a righteous judge, and God is angry every day.

If he does not turn back, he will sharpen his sword; he has bent his bow and readied it.

He has prepared weapons of death for him; he makes his burning arrows.

Behold, he labors with evil, conceives trouble, and brings forth deceit.

He dug a pit and excavated it, but fell into the destruction he made.

His trouble returns upon his head, and his violence descends upon the crown of his head.

I will praise Yahweh according to his righteousness, and sing to the name of Yahweh Most High.
