Psalm 135

1Praise Yah! Praise the name of Yahweh! Praise, you servants of Yahweh!

2You who stand in the house of Yahweh, in the courts of the house of our God.

3Praise Yah, for Yahweh is good; sing praises to his name, for it is pleasant.

4For Yah has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel for his treasured possession.

5For I know that Yahweh is great, that our Lord is greater than all gods.

6Whatever Yahweh delighted in, he has done in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all deeps.

7He raises clouds from the ends of the earth, makes lightnings for the rain, brings forth wind from his treasuries.

8who struck the firstborn of Egypt, from man to beast.

9Who sent signs and wonders into your midst, Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants;

10who struck many nations and killed mighty kings

11Sihon the Amorite king, Og the Bashan king, and all kingdoms of Canaan.

12and gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel his people.

13Yahweh, your name remains forever; Yahweh, your remembrance from generation to generation.

14For Yahweh will judge his people and comfort his servants.

15The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the handiwork of human hands.

16They have mouths but do not speak, eyes but do not see.

17They have ears, but they do not hear; there is no breath in their mouths.

18Those who make them will be like them; everyone who trusts in them.

19House of Israel, bless Yahweh! House of Aaron, bless Yahweh!

20House of Levi, bless Yahweh! You who fear Yahweh, bless Yahweh!

21Blessed be Yahweh from Zion, who dwells in Jerusalem. Praise Yah!
