Psalm 119

1Blessed are those blameless in their way, who walk in Yahweh's law.

2Blessed are those who guard his testimonies, who seek him with all their heart.

3They also do no wrong; they walk in his ways.

4You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.

5Oh that my ways would be set firm to observe your statutes!

6Then I will not be ashamed when I consider all your commandments.

7I will praise you with an upright heart when I learn your righteous judgments.

8I will guard your statutes; do not abandon me completely.

9How can a young man purify his way? By guarding it according to your word.

10With all my heart I have sought you; do not let me wander from your commandments.

11I have stored your word in my heart so I do not sin against you.

12Blessed are you, Yahweh; teach me your statutes.

13With my lips I have recounted all the rulings of your mouth.

14I rejoice in the path of your testimonies as over all riches.

15I will ponder your precepts and regard your paths.

16I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.

17Deal well with your servant, that I live and keep your word.

18Unveil my eyes, that I may behold wonders from your law.

19I am a sojourner in the land; do not hide your commandments from me.

20My soul breaks with longing for your judgments at all times.

21You have rebuked the arrogant, the accursed, who go astray from your commandments.

22Remove reproach and contempt from me, for I have kept your testimonies.

23Even princes sit speaking against me, your servant meditates on your statutes.

24Your testimonies are also my delight and my counselors.

25My soul clings to the dust; give me life according to your word.

26I recounted my ways, and you answered me; teach me your statutes.

27Help me understand the way of your precepts, that I may meditate on your wonders.

28My soul melts from sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.

29Remove from me the way of deceit, and grant me your law graciously.

30I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set your judgments before me.

31I have held fast to your testimonies, Yahweh; do not shame me.

32I will run in the path of your commandments, for you enlarge my heart.

33Instruct me, Yahweh, in the way of your statutes, and I will keep it to the end.

34Give me understanding, and I will guard your law; I will keep it with my whole heart.

35Guide me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it.

36Turn my heart to your testimonies, and not to covetousness.

37Turn my eyes from gazing at vanities; revive me in your ways.

38Establish your word to your servant, that you may be feared.

39Remove my reproach that I fear, for your judgments are good.

40See, I have longed for your precepts; keep me alive in your righteousness.

41Yahweh, let your mercy come to me, your salvation, according to your word.

42I will answer him who taunts me with a word, for I trust in your word.

43Do not utterly remove the word of truth from my mouth, for I have hoped in your judgments.

44I will keep your law continually, forever and ever.

45I will walk at liberty, for I have sought your precepts.

46I will speak of your testimonies before kings and not be ashamed.

47I will delight in your commandments, which I have loved.

48I will raise my hands to your commandments, which I love, and I will ponder your statutes.

49Remember your word to your servant, on which you have made me hope.

50This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has kept me alive.

51The proud have derided me exceedingly, but I have not turned aside from your law.

52I remembered your judgments from long ago, Yahweh, and comforted myself.

53Horror has seized me because of the wicked who forsake your law.

54Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my sojourn.

55I have remembered your name, Yahweh, in the night, and have kept your law.

56This has been mine, because I have kept your precepts.

57You are my portion, Yahweh; I have promised to keep your words.

58I have sought your face with all my heart. Be gracious to me according to your word.

59I reflected on my ways and turned my feet to your testimonies.

60I hastened and did not delay to keep your commandments.

61Companies of the wicked have charged me, but I have not forgotten your law.

62In the middle of the night I rise to praise you because of your righteous judgments.

63I am a companion to all who fear you, to those who keep your precepts.

64The earth is full of your mercy, Yahweh; teach me your statutes.

65You have done good to your servant, Yahweh, according to your word.

66Teach me good sense and knowledge, for I have trusted your commandments.

67Before I was humbled, I strayed; but now I keep your word.

68You are good, and do good; teach me your statutes.

69The arrogant have smeared a lie upon me; with my whole heart I will keep your precepts.

70Their heart is as fat as grease, but I delight in your law.

71It is good for me that I was afflicted, so that I might learn your statutes.

72The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.

73Your hands made me and shaped me; give me understanding, that I may learn your commandments.

74Those who fear you will see me and rejoice, because I have hoped in your word.

75I know, Yahweh, that your judgments are righteous and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.

76Please let your steadfast love comfort me, according to your word to your servant.

77Let your mercies come to me, and I will live, for your law is my delight.

78May the presumptuous be put to shame, for they have perverted me deceitfully; I will meditate on your precepts.

79Let those who fear you return to me, and let those acquainted with your testimonies acknowledge them.

80Let my heart be blameless in your statutes, lest I be ashamed.

81My soul pines for your salvation; for your word I hope.

82My eyes faint for your word, saying, "When will you comfort me?"

83For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke; I do not forget your statutes.

84How many are your servant's days? When will you execute judgment on my pursuers?

85The proud have dug pits for me that are not according to your law.

86All your commandments are faithful. They persecute me falsely. Help me!

87They almost consumed me on earth, but I did not forsake your precepts.

88Revive me according to your favor, that I may keep the testimony of your mouth.

89Forever, Yahweh, your word stands firm in the heavens.

90Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation; you have founded the earth, and it stands.

91Your judgments stand to this day, for all things are your servants.

92Unless your law had been my delights, then I would have perished in my affliction.

93I will never forget your precepts, for you have revived me with them.

94I belong to you; save me, for I have sought your precepts.

95The wicked lie in wait to destroy me; I will ponder your testimonies.

96I have seen an end to all perfection; your commandment is exceedingly broad.

97How I love your law! All day long it is my meditation.

98Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for it is mine forever.

99I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.

100I have more understanding than the elders, because I have kept your precepts.

101I have restrained my feet from every evil path, so that I might keep your word.

102I have not strayed from your judgments, for you have instructed me.

103How sweet are your words to my palate, more than honey to my mouth!

104From your precepts I gain understanding; thus I hate every false path.

105Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light to my path.

106I have sworn, and I will fulfill it, to keep your righteous judgments.

107I am severely afflicted. Revive me, Yahweh, according to your word.

108Please accept, Yahweh, the willing offerings of my mouth, and teach me your judgments.

109My soul is ever in my hand, yet I have not forgotten your law.

110The wicked have set a snare for me, yet I have not strayed from your precepts.

111I have inherited your testimonies forever, for they are the joy of my heart.

112I have applied my heart to carrying out your statutes forever, to the end.

113I hate double-minded thoughts, but I love your law.

114You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.

115Turn away from me, evildoers, that I may keep my God's commandments.

116Sustain me according to your word, that I may live, and do not shame me over my hope.

117Sustain me, and I will be saved, and I will regard your statutes continually.

118You spurn all who go astray from your statutes, for their deceit is a lie.

119You discard all the wicked of the earth like dross; therefore I love your testimonies.

120My flesh shudders for dread of you, and I fear your judgments.

121I have done justice and righteousness; do not leave me to my oppressors.

122Pledge for your servant's good; do not let the proud oppress me.

123My eyes fail for your salvation and for your righteous word.

124Treat your servant with your kindness, and instruct me in your decrees.

125I am your servant; make me understand, that I may know your testimonies.

126It is time for Yahweh to act, for they have broken your law.

127Therefore I love your commandments more than gold, more than fine gold.

128Therefore I regard all your precepts as right—all of them; I hate every false path.

129Your testimonies are marvels; therefore my soul keeps them.

130The opening of your words enlightens, giving understanding to the simple.

131I opened my mouth wide and panted, for I longed for your commandments.

132Look on me and show me grace, as you do for those who love your name.

133Direct my footsteps by your word, and let no iniquity rule over me.

134Rescue me from man's oppression, and I will keep your precepts.

135Shine your face on your servant, and teach me your decrees.

136Streams of water flow down my eyes because they do not keep your law.

137You are righteous, Yahweh, and your judgments are upright.

138You have commanded your righteous testimonies, and they are exceedingly faithful.

139My zeal consumes me, because my adversaries have forgotten your words.

140Your word is exceedingly refined, and your servant loves it.

141I am least and despised. I have not forgotten your precepts.

142Your righteousness is righteousness forever, and your law is truth.

143Trouble and distress have overtaken me; your commandments are my delights.

144The righteousness of your testimonies endures forever. Make me understand, and I will live.

145I have called with all my heart; answer me, Yahweh—I will keep your statutes.

146I called to you; save me, and I will keep your testimonies.

147I anticipated the dawn and cried out to your words; in your word I hoped.

148My eyes anticipate the night watches to meditate on your word.

149Hear my voice according to your mercy, Yahweh; revive me according to your judgments.

150Those who pursue mischief draw near; they are far from your law.

151You are near, Yahweh, and all your commandments are truth.

152Long ago I have known from your testimonies that you have established them forever.

153Consider my affliction and deliver me, for I have not forgotten your law.

154Advocate my cause and redeem me according to your word; keep me alive.

155Salvation is far from the ungodly, for they do not seek your statutes.

156Great are your mercies, Yahweh; revive me according to your judgments.

157Many are my pursuers and my adversaries; I have not turned aside from your testimonies.

158I see the treacherous and am disgusted because they do not keep your word.

159See how I love your precepts, Yahweh; revive me according to your kindness.

160The beginning of your word is truth, and all your righteous judgments endure forever.

161Rulers have pursued me wrongfully, but my heart fears your words and your word.

162I rejoice greatly over your word like one finding great spoil.

163I hate and abhor falsehood; I love your law.

164Seven times a day I praise you because of your just judgments.

165Those who love your law have abundant peace, and nothing makes them stumble.

166I have hoped for your salvation, Yahweh, and done your commandments.

167My soul keeps your testimonies, and I love them greatly.

168I have heeded your precepts and your testimonies, for all my ways are before you.

169May my cry draw near before you, Yahweh; according to your word, grant me understanding.

170May my plea come before you; rescue me according to your word.

171Let my lips pour forth praise, for you teach me your statutes.

172My tongue will declare your word, for all your commandments are right.

173Let your hand be a help to me, for I have chosen your precepts.

174I long for your salvation, Yahweh; your law is my delight.

175Let my soul live, and it will praise you; let your judgments help me.

176I have strayed like a lost sheep; seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commandments.
