Psalm 120

1In my distress I called to Yahweh, and he answered me.

2Yahweh, save my soul from lips of falsehood, from a tongue of deceit.

3What will he give you, and what more will he add to you, deceitful tongue?

4Sharpened arrows of a mighty man, with juniper coals.

5Woe to me, for I have sojourned in Meshech and dwelt among Kedar's tents!

6My soul has dwelt too long with one who hates peace.

7I am a man of peace, but when I speak, they are men of war.
