Psalm 52

1Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man? God's kindness endures all day.

2Your tongue contrives mischief like a sharpened razor working deceit.

3You love evil more than good, deceit more than speaking righteousness. Selah.

4You love all devouring words, O tongue of deceit.

5Even God will demolish you forever; he will seize you, plucking you from your tent and your root from the land of the living. Selah.

6The righteous will see, fear, and laugh at him.

7See, this is the man who did not set God as his stronghold but trusted in the multitude of his riches and strengthened himself in his iniquity.

8But I am like a flourishing olive tree in God's house; I trust in God's kindness forever and ever.

9I will praise you forever, because you have done it; I will hope in your name, for it is good before your faithful ones.
