Pray with Lumin

What would you like to pray about?

Lumin names two or three verses that fit and writes a short draft built on them. Every verse is checked and shown in full below the answer. Change the draft until it is yours.

How to use it

Let the draft end where your prayer begins.

  1. Say it plainly.

Write what is happening the way you would tell a friend. You do not need church words.

  2. Read the verses first.

Lumin names two or three verses and each one is checked and shown in full. Read them slowly. They are God’s words; the draft is not.

  3. Make the prayer yours.

Change the draft, shorten it, or set it aside and pray the verses as they are. God hears you, not the wording.

Common questions

Plain answers.

Can AI write a prayer for me?

It can write a draft. AI can put words together that sound like a prayer, but it does not believe, hope, or pray through them. Use the draft as a starting place: read the verses it names, then change the words until they are honestly yours, or pray the verses themselves.

Is it okay for a Christian to use AI to help pray?

Many Christians use written prayers, prayer books, and the Psalms to find words. AI help can work the same way when it points you to Scripture and stays small. The danger is letting it replace your own honest words or the people who pray with you. Lumin’s longer answer is in the guide on whether Christians should use AI for prayer.

How do I find Bible verses to pray?

Tell Lumin what you are facing in a sentence, and it names verses that fit, each one checked and shown in full from the Lumin Translation. You can also start from the prayers on this page, or from the topic pages, which gather the verses on anxiety, grief, fear, and more.

Can AI pray for me?

No. Prayer is a person speaking with God. AI can suggest words and verses, but it cannot pray for you or with you. Ask a friend, your church, or a pastor to pray for you as well.

Is the prayer generator free?

Yes. It is free with no account, up to three questions a day on the website. In the Lumin app there is more room to ask, plus morning and evening prayer.

Is what I write stored?

Questions you ask Lumin on the website are kept without your name, to improve the answers, as the privacy policy explains. Do not include anything you would not want written down, such as other people’s full names or medical details.
