Psalm 4

1Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness; you enlarged me in distress; show me grace and hear my prayer.

2Sons of men, how long will you dishonor my glory? How long will you love emptiness and seek deceit? Selah.

3Know that Yahweh has set apart the godly for himself; Yahweh will hear when I call to him.

4Tremble, do not sin; ponder in your heart on your bed, and be silent. Selah.

5Offer righteous sacrifices, and trust in Yahweh.

6Many say, "Who will show us any good?" Yahweh, lift up the light of your face upon us.

7You have set joy in my heart, more than when their grain and fresh wine multiply.

8In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh, alone make me dwell securely.
