Psalm 46

1God is our refuge and strength, a help exceedingly found in adversities.

2Therefore we will not fear, though the earth changes and the mountains shake into the heart of the seas.

3Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah.

4A river, its streams gladden the city of God, the holy dwellings of the Most High.

5God is within her; she will not be shaken. God will help her at dawn.

6The nations roared, the kingdoms reeled; he raised his voice, the earth dissolved.

7With us is Yahweh of hosts; our refuge is the God of Jacob. Selah.

8Come, behold Yahweh's works—what desolations he has made in the earth.

9He stills wars to the ends of the earth, breaks the bow and shatters the spear, and burns the chariots in the fire.

10Cease and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

11Yahweh of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
