Psalm 146

1Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh, my soul.

2I will praise Yahweh during my lifetime; I will sing praises to my God while I still live.

3Do not trust in nobles, nor in a son of man in whom there is no deliverance.

4His spirit goes out, he returns to his earth; that day his thoughts perish.

5Blessed is the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in Yahweh his God.

6who made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them, who keeps faithfulness forever

7who does justice for the oppressed, who gives bread to the hungry; Yahweh releases the prisoners.

8Yahweh opens the blind. Yahweh raises those bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous.

9Yahweh guards the sojourners; he sustains the orphan and widow, but the way of the wicked he makes crooked.

10Yahweh will reign forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise Yah!
