Psalm 3

1Yahweh, how my foes have multiplied! Many rise against me.

2Many say of my soul, "There is no deliverance for him in God." Selah.

3But you, Yahweh, are a shield for me, my glory, and the one who exalts my head.

4I called to Yahweh with my voice, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah.

5I lay down and slept; I awoke, for Yahweh sustains me.

6I will not fear myriads of people who have arrayed themselves against me all around.

7Arise, Yahweh! Save me, my God! For you have struck all my enemies on the jaw, and you have broken the teeth of the wicked.

8Salvation belongs to Yahweh. Your blessing is upon your people. Selah.
