Psalm 64

1Hear my voice, God, in my complaint; guard my life from the foe's dread.

2Hide me from the secret council of evildoers, from the tumult of those who work evil.

3who make their tongue sharp as a sword and bend their arrows, bitter words,

4to shoot the innocent from ambushes; suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.

5They strengthen themselves in an evil plan; they talk of hiding snares secretly; they say, "Who will see them?"

6They search out iniquities; "We have completed a thorough search!" The inward part of every man and the heart is deep.

7God shoots an arrow at them suddenly; their wounds come upon them.

8Their tongues will cause them to stumble upon themselves; all who see them will shake their heads.

9All people will fear. They will declare God's work and wisely consider his doing.

10The righteous rejoice in Yahweh and trust in him, and all the upright in heart praise him.
