Psalm 142

1With my voice I cry out to Yahweh; with my voice I plead to Yahweh.

2I pour out my complaint before him; before him I declare my distress.

3When my spirit fainted within me, you knew my path; in the way wherein I walk they hid a snare for me.

4Look to the right and see—no one recognizes me; refuge has perished from me; no one seeks my soul.

5I cried out to you, Yahweh; I said, "You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living."

6Give heed to my cry, for I am brought very low; deliver me from my pursuers, for they are stronger than me.

7Bring my soul out of prison to praise your name; the righteous will surround me, for you will deal bountifully with me.
