Psalm 58

1Do you truly speak justice, silent ones? Do you judge equitably, sons of men?

2No, you commit perversities in your heart; you weigh out the violence of your hands on the earth.

3The wicked are estranged from the womb, going astray from birth as they speak lies.

4Their poison is like a serpent's poison, like a deaf adder that stops its ear.

5which does not listen to the voice of charmers, no matter how wise the charmer of charms.

6God, shatter their teeth in their mouths; break the fangs of the young lions, Yahweh.

7Let them be cast away like water that flows away. When he bends his arrow, let his arrows be cut down.

8Like a snail that melts and passes away, like a woman's untimely birth that does not see the sun.

9Before they understand your pots of thorns, he will sweep them away like living thorns and like thorns in fury.

10The righteous will rejoice when he beholds vengeance; he will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

11A man will say, "Surely there is reward for the righteous; surely there is a God who judges the earth."
