Psalm 30

1I will extol you, Yahweh, for you have drawn me up and have not let my enemies rejoice over me.

2Yahweh my God, I cried out to you, and you healed me.

3Yahweh, you lifted my soul from Sheol; you kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

4Sing praises to Yahweh, O holy ones of his, and praise the remembrance of his holiness.

5For a moment in his anger, life in his favor; weeping lingers through the evening, but joy in the morning.

6As for me, I said in my prosperity, "I shall never be shaken."

7Yahweh, by your favor you established my mountain's strength; you hid your face, and I was dismayed.

8To you, Yahweh, I called; to my Lord I pleaded.

9What gain is there in my blood when I descend to the pit? Shall dust praise you? Shall it declare your faithfulness?

10Hear, Yahweh, and be gracious to me; Yahweh, be my helper.

11You have turned my mourning into a dance for me; you have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness.

12so that my glory may praise you and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will thank you forever.
