Lumin Translation

Psalm 45

My heart wells up with a good word; I speak my compositions for the king; my tongue is the pen of a swift scribe.

You surpass the sons of men in beauty; grace has been poured upon your lips, so God blesses you forever.

Gird your sword upon your thigh, O champion, with your splendor and majesty.

In your majesty ride forth successfully for the sake of truth, humility, and righteousness; your right hand will teach you awesome deeds.

Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; nations fall beneath you.

Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever; a scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; so God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions.

All your garments are fragrant with myrrh, aloes, and cassia; stringed instruments from ivory palaces have gladdened you.

Daughters of kings are among your precious women; the queen stands at your right hand in Ophir gold.

Listen, daughter, observe and incline your ear, and forget your people and your father's house.

The king will desire your beauty, for he is your lord; bow down to him.

The daughter of Tyre comes with a gift; the rich among the people seek your favor.

All glorious is the king's daughter within; her clothing is wrought with gold.

In embroidery she is led to the king; virgins after her, her companions, are brought to you.

They will be led in gladness and rejoicing; they will enter the king's palace.

Your sons will be instead of your fathers; you will appoint them princes in all the earth.

I will mention your name in all generations; therefore peoples will praise you forever and ever.
