Psalm 68

1Let God arise, let his enemies scatter, and let his haters flee before him.

2As smoke is driven away, drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, let the wicked perish before God.

3Let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God and exult with gladness.

4Sing to God, make music for his name; exalt the rider on the clouds—Yah is his name—and rejoice before him.

5A father to orphans and judge of widows is God in his holy dwelling.

6God settles the lonely in homes; he brings out those bound in chains, but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

7God, when you went out before your people, when you marched in the desert, Selah.

8The earth shook, even the heavens dripped before God, this Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.

9You, God, showered generous showers; you strengthened your inheritance when it languished.

10Your living ones dwelt there; you prepared your goodness for the afflicted, O God.

11The Lord gives the word, and those who bring good news are a great host.

12Kings of armies flee! They flee! She who dwells at home divides the spoil.

13Though you lie among the pots, you will be like the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.

14When the Almighty dispersed kings in her, it snowed on Zalmon.

15The mountain of God is like the mountain of Bashan, a mountain of peaks like the mountain of Bashan.

16Why do you high mountains leap at the mountain God desired for his dwelling? Indeed, Yahweh will dwell there forever.

17God's chariots are myriads upon thousands of angels; the Lord is among them, at Sinai, in the sanctuary.

18You have ascended to the heights, you have led captives captive, you have taken gifts among men, even the rebellious, that Yah God might dwell.

19Blessed be the Lord who day by day bears us, the God of our salvation. Selah.

20Our God is a God of deliverances, and deliverances from death belong to Yahweh the Lord.

21Surely God will crush the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of one who persists in his guilt.

22The Lord said, "I will bring you back from Bashan, I will bring you back from the depths of the sea."

23that your foot may dip in blood, the tongue of your dogs having its portion from your enemies.

24They have seen your marches, God, the marches of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.

25Singers went ahead, players on instruments followed after, maidens playing timbrels in their midst.

26Bless God in the congregations, Yahweh from Israel's spring.

27There is little Benjamin their ruler, Judah's captains their council, Zebulun's captains, Naphtali's captains.

28Your God has commanded your strength. Strengthen, God, what you have done for us.

29Kings will bring you gifts because of your temple at Jerusalem.

30Rebuke the beast of the reeds, the throng of bulls, with calves of the nations as they humble themselves with bars of silver; scatter the nations that crave war.

31Princes shall come from Egypt; Cush shall hasten her hands to God.

32Kingdoms of the earth, sing to God; sing praises to the Lord. Selah.

33To the one who rides the ancient heavens of heavens, behold, he utters his voice, a mighty voice.

34Attribute strength to God! His majesty is over Israel, his might in the skies.

35God is awesome in your sanctuaries, God of Israel—he gives strength and powers to the people. Blessed be God.
