Psalm 60

1God, you have rejected us, broken us, been angry; restore us again.

2You have shaken the earth. You have split it. Heal its breaches, for it totters.

3You have shown your people grievous things; you have made us drink staggering wine.

4You have appointed a banner for those who fear you, to be lifted up because of truth. Selah.

5So that your loved ones may be delivered, save with your right hand, and answer us; answer me.

6God has spoken in his sanctuary: I will exult, I will apportion Shechem, and measure the valley of Succoth.

7Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is the fortress of my head, Judah my scepter.

8Moab is my washbasin; over Edom I will cast my shoe; Philistia, triumph over me!

9Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?

10Have you not rejected us, God? Do you not go out with our armies, God?

11Give us help against the foe, for man's deliverance is worthless.

12With God we will do mightily, for he will trample our adversaries.
