Psalm 118

1Praise Yahweh, for he is good, for his kindness endures forever.

2Let Israel now say that his steadfast love endures forever.

3Let the house of Aaron now say that his kindness endures forever.

4Let those who fear Yahweh now say that his kindness is forever.

5From my distress I called to Yah; Yah answered me in a spacious place.

6Yahweh is for me; I will not fear—what can man do to me?

7Yahweh is for me among those who help me, and I will see those who hate me.

8It is better to trust in Yahweh than to rely on man.

9Trust in Yahweh is better than trust in princes.

10All nations encircled me, but in the name of Yahweh I will cut them down.

11They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me; in the name of Yahweh I will cut them off.

12They surrounded me like bees; they were extinguished like burning thorns. For in the name of Yahweh I will cut them off.

13You thrust me violently to make me fall, but Yahweh helped me.

14Yah is my strength and song, and he became my salvation.

15The sound of joyful cries and deliverance is in the tents of the righteous. The right hand of Yahweh performs mighty deeds.

16Yahweh's right hand is exalted; Yahweh's right hand acts valiantly.

17I will not die, for I will live and recount Yah's works.

18Yah has chastened me severely, but he has not delivered me to death.

19Open for me the gates of righteousness; I will enter them and give thanks to Yah.

20This is the gate of Yahweh; the righteous will enter it.

21I thank you, for you answered me and have become my salvation.

22The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

23This has come from Yahweh; it is wondrous in our eyes.

24This is the day Yahweh has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

25Please, Yahweh, save us now! Please, Yahweh, prosper us now!

26Blessed is the one who comes in the name of Yahweh; from the house of Yahweh we bless you.

27Yahweh is God, and he has shone light upon us. Bind the festal sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar.

28You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, I will exalt you.

29Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his favor endures forever.
