Lumin Translation
Genesis 6
It came about when humans began to increase on the face of the ground, and daughters were born to them.
The sons of God saw the daughters of men and how beautiful they were, and they took wives for themselves from all whom they chose.
Yahweh said, "My spirit will not contend with humankind forever, because he also is flesh; his days will be one hundred twenty years."
The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and even afterward when God's sons came to humanity's daughters and fathered children with them; they were the ancient champions, men renowned.
Yahweh saw that humankind's evil was great on the earth, and that every inclination of his heart's thoughts was only evil continually.
Yahweh regretted that he had made humankind on the earth, and it hurt him in his heart.
Yahweh said, "I will blot out humanity whom I created from the face of the ground—from people to livestock to creeping things to birds of the sky—for I regret that I have made them."
But Noah found favor in the eyes of Yahweh.
This is Noah's genealogy. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among his contemporaries. Noah walked with God.
Noah fathered three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
The earth became corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
God saw the earth, and indeed it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before me, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth."
Make an ark for yourself of gopher wood, with rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch.
This is how you shall make it: three hundred cubits the length of the ark, fifty cubits its breadth, and thirty cubits its height.
Make a window in the ark, and complete it a cubit from above; place the door of the ark in its side; with lower, second, and third decks build it.
See, I myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life from under the heavens; everything that is in the earth will die.
I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall enter the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
You shall bring two of every kind into the ark from all that lives, from all flesh, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female.
From the birds of their kind, and from the livestock of their kind, from every creeping thing of the ground of their kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.
You take for yourself from all food that is eaten, gather it to yourself, and it will be food for you and for them.
Noah did according to all that God commanded him, so he did.
