Job 26

Job 25Job 27

Job answered and said.

How have you helped the powerless! How have you saved the arm without might!

How have you advised one lacking wisdom, and abundantly made substance known!

To whom have you declared words, and whose breath has come forth from you?

The dead tremble beneath the waters, and those who dwell in them.

Sheol lies naked before him, and there is no covering for Abaddon.

He stretches the north over emptiness and hangs the earth over nothing.

He wraps the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud does not split under them.

Enclosing the face of his throne, he spreads his cloud upon it.

He has encircled a boundary on the surface of the waters to the end of light with darkness.

Heaven's pillars tremble and marvel at his rebuke.

By his power he breaks the sea, and by his understanding and insight he crushes Rahab.

By his breath the heavens are adorned; his hand pierces the fleeing serpent.

See, these are but the borders of his ways. How faint a whisper of his word do we hear of him! But the thunder of his mighty power—who can understand?
