Lumin Translation
Job 10
My soul is weary of my life; I will release my complaint against myself; I will speak from my soul's bitterness.
I will say to God, "Do not condemn me; make me know why you contend against me."
Does it please you to oppress, to loathe the toil of your hands, and to look with favor on the counsel of the wicked?
Do you have eyes of flesh? Or do you see as a mortal sees?
Are your days like a mortal's days, or your years like a man's days?
that you seek my iniquity and search my sin?
Though you know that I am not wicked, none can deliver from your hand.
Your hands fashioned me and made me completely all around, yet you devour me.
Please remember that you made me like clay, and will you return me to dust?
Haven't you poured me like milk and curdled me like cheese?
You clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me with bones and sinews.
You have given me life and kindness, and your providence has guarded my spirit.
You hid these in your heart: I know that this is with you.
If I sin, you watch me and will not acquit me from my iniquity.
If I am wicked, woe to me; if I am righteous, I will not lift my head, sated with disgrace—behold my misery.
And should it grow proud like a lion, you hunt me, turning again to show your power against me.
You renew your witnesses against me and multiply your anger upon me; changes and warfare are with me.
Why did you bring me out from the womb? Had I died, no eye would have seen me.
I would have been as one who had not been and would not be, brought from the womb to the grave.
Are not my days few? Cease, let them cease, and turn away from me, that I may be comforted a little.
Before I go and do not return to the land of darkness and the shadow of death.
a land of thick darkness like gloom itself, the shadow of death, without order, where the light shines like darkness.
