Lumin Translation

Isaiah 35

The wilderness and the dry land will exult greatly; the desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose.

It will blossom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon will be given it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of Yahweh, the splendor of our God.

Strengthen limp hands and make firm the tottering knees.

Say to the faint-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear. Behold, your God will come with vengeance, God with retribution. He will come and save you.”

Then the eyes of the blind will open, and the ears of the deaf will open.

Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the mute's tongue will shout for joy; for waters will gush out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.

The mirage will become a pool, and the dry ground springs of water; in the jackals' haunt, their resting place, grass with reeds and rushes will grow.

There will be a highway there, a way, and it will be called a holy way. No unclean person will cross it, but it will be for those who walk the way; even fools will not go astray.

No lion will be there, nor ravenous beasts go up on it; they will not be found there, but the redeemed will walk there.

Yahweh's ransomed will return and come to Zion with singing, everlasting joy upon their heads; they will attain gladness and joy, while sorrow and sighing flee.
