Lumin Translation
Isaiah 11
A shoot will come up from Jesse's stump, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit.
Yahweh’s Spirit will rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and fear of Yahweh.
He will delight in the fear of Yahweh. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, nor reprove by the hearing of his ears.
He will judge the poor with righteousness and argue for the earth's lowly with equity; he will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips slay the wicked.
Righteousness will be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins.
The wolf will stay with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the kid, the calf, the young lion, and the fatling together, and a little boy will lead them.
The cow and the bear will graze together; their young will lie down, and the lion will eat straw like cattle.
The suckling child will frolic upon the adder's hole, and the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den.
They will not harm nor ruin in all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with knowledge of Yahweh as the waters cover the sea.
In that day the root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; nations will seek him, and his resting place will be glorious.
In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to recover the remnant of his people who remain, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
He will raise a banner for the nations, bring together Israel's exiles, and collect Judah's scattered ones from the four corners of the earth.
The envy of Ephraim will depart, and the adversaries of Judah will be cut off; Ephraim will not envy Judah, and Judah will not distress Ephraim.
They will swoop upon the shoulder of the Philistines westward, together plundering the sons of the east; they will stretch out their hand over Edom and Moab, and the sons of Ammon will obey them.
Yahweh will destroy the bay of the Egyptian sea and wave his hand over the River with his mighty wind, striking it into seven streams and guiding them across in sandals.
There will be a highway for the remnant of his people that remains from Assyria, like the one for Israel in the day of his ascent from the land of Egypt.
