Lumin Translation
Isaiah 2
The word Isaiah son of Amoz saw about Judah and Jerusalem.
In the latter days the mountain of Yahweh's house will be established at the top of the mountains and raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.
Many peoples will go and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For from Zion the law will go forth, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.
He will judge between nations and decide for many peoples; they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. No nation will raise a sword against a nation, nor will they learn war anymore.
House of Jacob, come, and let us walk in Yahweh's light.
For you have cast off your people, house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east and are diviners like the Philistines, and they strike hands with the children of foreigners.
Their land overflows with silver and gold, its treasuries without end; it overflows with horses, its chariots without end.
Their land was filled with idols; they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their fingers have made.
People have bowed down, and men have been debased; do not forgive them.
Take shelter in the rock and hide yourself in the dust from the dread of Yahweh and from the splendor of his majesty.
The proud eyes of man will be humbled, the pride of men will be brought down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day.
For the day of Yahweh of hosts will be upon all who are proud and exalted, and upon all who are lifted up; and they shall be brought low.
And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, the lofty and the uplifted, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
upon all the exalted mountains, and upon all the hills that are raised up
and upon every high tower, and upon every fortified wall,
for all the ships of Tarshish, for all the desirable pictures.
Man's loftiness shall be bowed down, and men's haughtiness brought low; Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.
And the worthless idols will completely pass away.
They will enter rock caves and earth holes from the terror of Yahweh and from the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.
In that day a man will cast his idols of silver and his idols of gold, which they made for him to bow down to, to the moles and the bats.
to enter the clefts of the rocks and the summits of the cliffs from before the terror of Yahweh and from the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.
Cease from man whose breath is in his nostrils, for how is he regarded?
