Lumin Translation

Isaiah 25

Yahweh, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name, for you have done wonders, plans from long ago, in faithfulness and truth.

For you have made a city a heap, a fortified city a ruin, a palace of foreigners no city anymore—it will never be rebuilt.

Therefore mighty people will honor you; a city of ruthless nations will fear you.

For you have been a fortress to the poor, a fortress to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the flood, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the ruthless comes like a flood against the wall.

Like heat in a parched wasteland, you subdue the uproar of foreigners; like heat beneath a cloud's shadow, the tyrants' song will be humbled.

In this mountain Yahweh of Hosts will prepare for all peoples a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, fat things full of marrow, wines on the lees well refined.

He will swallow up on this mountain the face of the covering draped over all peoples, and the veil spread over all nations.

He devours death forever. Lord Yahweh will blot out tears from every face and remove his people's reproach from the whole earth, for Yahweh has spoken.

On that day they will say, "See, this is our God! We have waited for him, and he will save us. This is Yahweh! We have waited for him. Let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation."

For the hand of Yahweh will rest on this mountain, and Moab will be threshed beneath it like straw threshed in the waters of the dunghill.

He will spread out his hands in its midst as a swimmer spreads out to swim, and he will bring low his pride together with the tricks of his hands.

He brought down the stronghold of your lofty walls, humbled it, and brought it to the ground, even to dust.
