Ezekiel 42
He took me out to the outer court by the northern way and brought me to the chamber facing the separate place and facing the building to the north.
Facing the length of one hundred cubits was the north entrance, and the breadth fifty cubits.
Opposite the twenty cubits of the inner court and opposite the pavement of the outer court was gallery facing gallery in the third.
In front of the chambers was a walkway ten cubits wide toward the inner area, a path one cubit wide; and their doorways faced north.
The upper chambers were shorter, for the galleries consumed more from these than from the lower and the middle ones in the building.
For they were three stories, but had no pillars like those of the courts, so it narrowed more than the lower and middle from the ground.
The wall outside facing the chambers ran toward the outer court before the chambers, its length fifty cubits.
For the length of the chambers toward the outer court was fifty cubits, and look, before the temple it was one hundred cubits.
From beneath the chambers and from beneath these chambers was the entry of the one entering from the east, as he enters them from the outer court.
Chambers were in the thickness of the courtyard wall toward the east, facing the separate place and facing the building.
The way before them was like the appearance of the way of the chambers toward the north, as long as they were and as broad as they were, and all their exits were according to their patterns and according to their doorways.
Like the entrances of the chambers along the way toward the south was an entrance at the head of the way, the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one enters them.
He told me, The north chambers and the south chambers facing the separate place—these are the holy chambers where the priests drawing near to Yahweh eat the most holy things there; there they deposit the most holy things, the grain offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering, for the place is holy.
When the priests enter, they shall not go out from the sanctuary to the outer courtyard, but there they shall leave the garments they wear while serving in them, for those are holy; they shall put on other garments and draw near to what is for the people.
When he had finished the measurements of the inner house, he led me out by the way of the gate whose face was toward the way of the east, and measured it all around.
He measured the east side with the measuring rod five hundred cubit rods, with the measuring rod all around.
He measured to the north five hundred reeds with the measuring reed all around.
He measured the south side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
He turned to the west and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
He measured it on the four sides: a wall surrounded it on every side, five hundred long and five hundred wide, to separate the holy from the profane.
