Ezekiel 38
The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
Son of man, direct your face against Gog of the land of Magog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him.
And say, “This is what the Lord Yahweh declares: Behold, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.”
I will turn you back and set hooks in your jaws, and I will lead you out—you and your entire army, horses and horsemen, all of them perfectly attired, a vast assembly with bucklers and shields, all of them grasping swords.
Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with buckler and helmet.
Gomer and all her troops; the house of Togarmah from the remotest parts of the north, and all his troops; many peoples with you.
Be ready, prepare yourself—you and all your company assembled to you—and be a guard to them.
After many days you will be mustered; in the final years you will come to the land reclaimed from the sword, assembled from many peoples upon the mountains of Israel, which have lain continually desolate, but it has emerged from the peoples, and they will dwell securely, all of them.
You will ascend and come like a storm, you will be like a cloud to cover the land—you, all your hordes, and many peoples with you.
Thus says the Lord Yahweh: It will happen on that day that matters will arise in your mind, and you will devise an evil scheme.
And you shall say, "I will go up to a land of unwalled villages; I will come to those at rest who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without wall or bar or gates—none for them."
To seize spoil and plunder prey, to turn your hand against the ruins now inhabited, and against the people gathered from the nations, who possess livestock and goods, who dwell in the middle of the earth.
Sheba, Dedan, and Tarshish merchants with all its young lions will say to you, "Have you come to plunder spoil? Have you gathered your band to seize booty, to bear off silver and gold, to take herds and possessions, to plunder vast spoil?"
Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: Thus says the Lord Yahweh: On that day when my people Israel dwells securely, will you not know?
You will come from your place in the remotest parts of the north—you and many nations with you, all of them riding horses, a great assembly and a vast army.
You will come up against my people Israel like a cloud to cover the land; in the latter days it will happen, when I bring you against my land so the nations know me as I am sanctified in you before their eyes, Gog.
Thus says Lord Yahweh: Are you the one I spoke of in ancient days through my servants, Israel's prophets, who prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring you against them?
It will happen on that day, the day Gog comes against Israel's soil, declares the Lord Yahweh, that my wrath will rise in my nostrils.
In my jealousy and the fire of my wrath I have spoken: surely on that day a great earthquake will strike Israel's soil.
Fish of the sea, birds of the sky, animals of the field, every creeping thing that moves on the ground, and every person on the surface of the earth will quake before me; mountains will be overthrown, cliffs will fall, and every wall will collapse to the ground.
I will call a sword against him across all my mountains, declares the Lord Yahweh; every man's sword will be against his brother.
I will judge him with plague and blood, and rain flooding showers, great hailstones, fire, and sulfur on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him.
I will magnify myself and sanctify myself, and I will be known in the sight of many nations; they will know that I am Yahweh.
