Ezekiel 41

1He brought me to the temple and measured the jambs, six cubits wide on one side and six cubits wide on the other—the width of the tent.

2The entrance was ten cubits wide, and its sides five cubits on one side and five cubits on the other; he measured its length forty cubits, and its width twenty cubits.

3He went inward and measured the jamb of the entrance, two cubits; the entrance, six cubits; and the width of the entrance, seven cubits.

4He measured its length at twenty cubits, and its width at twenty cubits, facing the temple, then said to me, "This is the holy of holies."

5He measured the wall of the house, six cubits, and the breadth of the side chamber, four cubits, all around the house on every side.

6The side chambers were one above another in three tiers, thirty courses around; and they entered the wall connected to the house for the encircling side chambers, to be supported there but not supported in the wall of the house.

7The side rooms broadened and wound higher and higher, for the house's circuit rose higher and higher all around on every side of the house; thus the house's width extended upward, and so one ascended from the lowest room onto the upper room by the middle room.

8I saw the height of the house all around: the foundations of the side rooms were the complete length of a reed, six great cubits.

9The width of the wall that adjoined the side chamber on the outside was five cubits, and the remaining space was for the side chambers belonging to the house.

10Between the chambers was a twenty-cubit width around the house on every side.

11The side chambers' entrances faced the remaining space, one toward the north and one toward the south, and the breadth of the remaining space was five cubits all around.

12The building facing the separate place on the west side was seventy cubits wide, its wall five cubits thick all around, and its length ninety cubits.

13He measured the house, one hundred cubits in length, and the separate place, the building, and its walls, one hundred cubits in length.

14The front of the house and the separate place toward the east were one hundred cubits wide.

15He measured the length of the building facing the front of the separate place behind it, and its galleries on one side and the other, one hundred cubits, along with the inner temple and the porches of the court.

16The thresholds, the narrow windows, and the galleries around their three stories opposite the threshold were paneled with wood all around, from the ground up to the windows, which were covered.

17From above the entrance until the inner house and to the outside, and to all the walls all around inside and outside, by measures.

18It was carved with cherubim and palm trees, a palm tree between cherub and cherub, each with two faces.

19A man's face was toward the palm tree on one side, and a young lion's face toward the palm tree on the other side; it was made for the whole house all around, all around.

20From the ground to above the door, cherubim and palm trees were made on the temple wall.

21The post of the temple was square, and the face of the sanctuary; the appearance as the appearance.

22The altar was of wood, three cubits high, and its length two cubits; its corners, its length, and its walls were of wood. He said to me, This is the table that stands before Yahweh.

23There were two doors for the temple and the holy place.

24The doors each had two leaves, two folding leaves; two leaves for one door, and two leaves for the other.

25Cherubim and palm trees were made on the temple doors, just as they were made on the walls, and thick wood fronted the porch on the outside.

26The porch's sides, the house's side chambers, and the thick planks had narrow windows and palm trees on one side and the other.
