Lumin Translation

Ezekiel 4

You, son of man, take a tile, place it before you, and depict a city on it, Jerusalem.

Set a siege against it, build a fort against it, and heap up a mound against it; place camps against it and set battering rams against it all around.

You, take an iron pan for yourself and set it as an iron wall between you and the city. Set your face toward it, and it shall be under siege, and you shall besiege it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.

Lie on your left side and place the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; according to the number of the days that you lie on it, you will bear their iniquity.

I have appointed to you the years of their iniquity by the number of days, three hundred ninety days; you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

When you have accomplished these, lie again on your right side and bear the iniquity of the house of Judah for forty days, one day for each year; I have appointed it to you.

You shall direct your face toward Jerusalem's siege, bare your arm, and prophesy against it.

Behold, I place cords on you, and you shall not turn from your side to your side until you complete the days of your siege.

And you, take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt for yourself, put them in one vessel, and make them into bread for yourself according to the number of days you lie on your side, three hundred ninety days; you shall eat it.

Your food which you shall eat shall weigh twenty shekels a day; you shall eat it from time to time.

You shall drink water by measure, one sixth of the hin; from time to time you shall drink.

You shall eat it as a barley cake, and bake it with human excrement before their eyes.

Yahweh said, "Thus will the sons of Israel eat their defiled bread among the nations where I drive them."

Then I said, "Ah, Lord Yahweh! See, my soul has not been defiled, nor have I eaten carcass or torn flesh from my youth even until now, and no abominable flesh has entered my mouth."

He said to me, "See, I have given you cattle dung instead of man's dung, and you shall prepare your bread on them."

He said to me, “Son of man, look, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they will eat bread by weight and with anxiety, and drink water by measure and in dismay.”

so that they lack bread and water, and are appalled each toward his brother, and waste away in their iniquity.
