Ezekiel 10

Then I looked, and there in the expanse above the heads of the cherubim something appeared over them like a sapphire stone with the look and form of a throne.

He spoke to the man dressed in linen and said, "Enter between the wheels, even beneath the cherub, fill your hands with fiery coals from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city." He entered before my eyes.

The cherubim stood on the right side of the house when the man entered, and the cloud filled the inner court.

Yahweh's glory rose up from above the cherub over the threshold of the house, and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court brimmed with the brightness of Yahweh's glory.

The sound of the cherubim's wings was heard as far as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.

It happened when he commanded the man dressed in linen, saying, "Take fire from between the wheel, from between the cherubim," that he entered and stood beside the wheel.

The cherub reached his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, took some of it, and put it into the hands of the one clothed in linen, who took it and went out.

In the cherubim, under their wings, the form of a man's hand appeared.

I looked and saw four wheels near the cherubim, one wheel near one cherub and one wheel near one cherub, and the appearance of the wheels resembled a beryl stone.

Their appearance was one likeness for all four, as a wheel is within a wheel.

When they went, they went toward their four sides without turning as they went—for they followed wherever the head faced without turning as they went.

All their flesh, their backs, their hands, their wings, and the wheels were full of eyes all around, even the wheels of their four.

As for the wheels, one was calling to them in my hearing, "O whirling wheel!"

Each had four faces: the first a cherub's face, the second a man's face, the third a lion's face, and the fourth an eagle's face.

The cherubim rose up: this is the living creature that I saw by the Chebar River.

When the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted their wings to rise from the earth, the wheels themselves also did not turn from beside them.

When they stood, these stood, and when they rose up, these rose up with them, because the spirit of the living creature was in them.

The glory of Yahweh went out from above the threshold of the house and stood over the cherubim.

The cherubim raised their wings and rose from the earth before my eyes as they departed, the wheels alongside them; they halted at the entrance of the east gate to Yahweh's house, with the glory of Israel's God over them from above.

These were the living creatures I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar, and I knew they were cherubim.

The four had four faces each and four wings each, and the likeness of human hands was under their wings.

The likeness of their faces was identical to the faces I saw by the Chebar River—their appearances and themselves; each one went straight ahead.
