Exodus 36

1Bezalel and Aholiab worked, along with every man wise of heart—in whom Yahweh had placed wisdom and understanding to know how to perform all the labor of the sanctuary service, according to everything Yahweh commanded.

2Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab and every wisehearted man whom Yahweh had put wisdom in his heart, everyone whose heart moved him to come to the work to do it.

3They received from Moses all the offering that the sons of Israel had brought for the work of serving the sanctuary, to make it. And they brought voluntary offerings to him every morning, still more.

4All the wise men doing all the work of the sanctuary came, every man from his work which they were doing.

5They said to Moses, "The people are bringing more than enough for the service of the work which Yahweh commanded to make."

6Moses commanded, and they proclaimed aloud through the camp, saying, "No man or woman shall make any more work for the sanctuary's contribution." So the people were restrained from bringing.

7For the material was enough for all the work to make it, and more.

8All the wisehearted among those doing the work made the tabernacle with ten curtains of twisted fine linen, blue, purple, and scarlet, with cherubim—the work of skilled design they made them.

9Each curtain was twenty-eight cubits long and four cubits wide; all of them had one measure.

10He joined five curtains one to another, and five curtains he joined one to another.

11He made loops of blue on the coupling edge of one curtain. Likewise he made them on the coupling edge of the outermost curtain in the second coupling.

12He made fifty loops in one curtain, and he made fifty loops in the edge of the curtain that was in the second coupling. The loops corresponded one to one.

13He made fifty clasps of gold and joined the curtains one to one with the clasps, so the tabernacle became one.

14He made eleven curtains of goats' hair as a tent over the tabernacle.

15The length of each curtain was thirty cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits; the eleven curtains had one measure.

16He joined five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves.

17He made fifty loops on the edge of the outermost curtain of the coupling, and he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain of the second coupling.

18He made fifty bronze clasps to couple the tent together as one.

19He made a covering for the tent of red-dyed rams' skins and a covering of badger skins on top.

20He made upright boards for the tabernacle from acacia wood.

21Each board was ten cubits long and a cubit and a half broad.

22Each board had two tenons joined to each other. He made all the boards of the tabernacle likewise.

23He made the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards for the south side facing south.

24He made forty silver sockets under the twenty boards, two sockets under one board for its two tenons, and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.

25He made twenty boards for the second side of the tabernacle toward the north corner.

26and their forty silver sockets, two sockets under one board, and two sockets under the other board.

27For the west end of the tabernacle he made six boards.

28He made two boards for the corners of the tabernacle at the rear.

29They were coupled from below and likewise coupled together to its top to the one ring. He made both of them that way for the two corners.

30There were eight boards and sixteen silver sockets for them, two sockets under each board.

31He made bars of acacia wood, five for the boards of one side of the tabernacle.

32And five bars for the boards of the tabernacle's other side, and five bars for the boards at the tabernacle's rear to the west.

33He made the middle bar to pass through the midst of the boards from one end to the other.

34He covered the boards with gold, made their rings of gold as places for the bars, and covered the bars with gold.

35He made the veil of blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine twisted linen—the work of a skilled craftsman, with cherubim.

36He made four acacia pillars for it and overlaid them with gold; their hooks were of gold, and he cast four silver sockets for them.

37He made a curtain for the tabernacle entrance of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen—the work of an embroiderer.

38And its five pillars with their hooks. He overlaid their capitals and bands with gold, and their five sockets were bronze.
