Exodus 29

1This is what you shall do to them to consecrate them to serve me as priests: take one bull calf and two rams without blemish.

2And bread without leaven, cakes without leaven mixed with oil, and wafers without leaven anointed with oil—you shall make them from fine wheat flour.

3You shall place them in one basket and bring them in the basket along with the bull and the two rams.

4Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting, and wash them with water.

5You shall take the garments and dress Aaron in the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the intricately woven sash of the ephod.

6And you shall place the turban on his head and set the sacred crown on the turban.

7You shall take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him.

8You shall bring his sons near and clothe them in tunics.

9You shall gird Aaron and his sons with sashes, bind headdresses on them, and the priesthood shall belong to them as a perpetual statute; you shall fill the hand of Aaron and the hand of his sons.

10You shall bring the bull before the tent of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull.

11You shall slaughter the bull before Yahweh at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

12You shall take some of the bull's blood and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour out all the blood at the base of the altar.

13You shall take all the fat covering the entrails, the caul over the liver, the two kidneys, and the fat on them, and burn them on the altar.

14You shall burn the bull's flesh, its skin, and its dung with fire outside the camp; it is a sin offering.

15You shall take one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall place their hands upon the ram's head.

16You shall slaughter the ram, take its blood, and sprinkle it all around on the altar.

17You shall cut the ram into its pieces, wash its entrails and legs, and put them on its pieces and on its head.

18You shall burn the whole ram on the altar; it is a burnt offering to Yahweh, a soothing aroma, a fire offering to Yahweh.

19You shall take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram.

20Slaughter the ram, take some of its blood, and apply it to the lobe of Aaron’s right ear and to the lobes of his sons’ right ears, to the thumbs of their right hands and to the big toes of their right feet, and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar.

21You shall take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments, on his sons and the garments of his sons with him, and he shall be consecrated—he and his garments, his sons, and his sons' garments with him.

22You shall take from the ram the fat, the fat tail, the fat covering the entrails, the caul of the liver, the two kidneys, the fat on them, and the right thigh, for it is a ram of consecration.

23And one loaf of bread, one cake of bread mixed with oil, and one wafer from the basket of unleavened bread that is before Yahweh.

24You shall place all of it upon Aaron's hands and upon his sons' hands, and wave them before Yahweh as a wave offering.

25You shall take them from their hands and burn them on the altar atop the burnt offering as a soothing aroma before Yahweh; it is a fire offering to Yahweh.

26You shall take the breast from the ram of Aaron's consecration and wave it as a wave offering before Yahweh, and it shall be your portion.

27You shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering that is waved and heaved up from the ram of consecration, the portion for Aaron and for his sons.

28It shall be for Aaron and his sons as a perpetual ordinance from the children of Israel, for it is a contribution; and it shall be a contribution from the children of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, their contribution to Yahweh.

29The holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him, for anointing in them and for filling their hands in them.

30One of his sons, the priest in his place, shall wear them seven days when he enters the tent of meeting to minister in the holy place.

31Take the ram of consecration and boil its flesh in the holy place.

32Aaron and his sons shall eat the ram's flesh and the bread in the basket at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

33They shall eat those by which atonement was made for them to fill their hands and sanctify them, but a stranger shall not eat it because they are holy.

34If any of the flesh of the consecrations or of the bread remains until morning, you shall burn the remainder in the fire; it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.

35You shall do so to Aaron and his sons, according to everything that I have commanded you; seven days you shall consecrate their hands.

36You shall offer a bull as a sin offering each day for atonement, purify the altar when you make atonement upon it, and anoint it to consecrate it.

37Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it, and the altar shall be most holy; everything that touches the altar shall be holy.

38This is what you shall offer on the altar: two year-old lambs each day continually.

39You shall offer one lamb in the morning, and the other lamb in the evening.

40And a tenth portion of flour mixed with a fourth part of a hin of beaten oil, and a fourth part of a hin of wine for a drink offering with the one lamb.

41Offer the second lamb in the evening according to the morning grain offering and its drink offering, for a pleasing aroma, a fire offering to Yahweh.

42A daily burnt offering for your generations at the entrance to the tent of meeting before Yahweh, where I will meet you there to speak to you there.

43There I will meet with the children of Israel, and it will be consecrated by my glory.

44I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar, and I will consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests.

45I will live among the children of Israel and be God to them.

46They will know that I am Yahweh their God, who brought them out from the land of Egypt to dwell among them: I am Yahweh their God.
